Updating Race-Day Mark Positions

Every mark has a position defined "Per SI" -- whatever's on file for it normally. On the actual day of a race the real position can differ: a mark blown off station, repositioned by the race committee, or read live off an AIS transponder or a MarkSetBot. The Mark Positions page (reachable from your regatta's menu) lets you record that, per mark, for this regatta only.

For each mark used in your regatta's courses, choose one of:

  • Per SI -- no override; use the mark's normal defined position.
  • Manual -- enter a latitude/longitude here that temporarily overrides it.
  • Data source -- reserved for a future automatic feed (AIS, MarkSetBot, etc.); not active yet, so a mark set to this option still uses its Per SI position until that's built.

Once saved, the override applies everywhere the mark's position is used -- the chart, course length and leg calculations, and exports -- with no other changes needed. Switch a mark back to "Per SI" at any time to drop the override.

You need edit rights on the regatta to change anything here; without them, the page is read-only.
