RegattaLog Course Maker does a number of things:
- Organizing Authorities can design courses with immediate visual feedback on the configuration and length of each course including "buttonhook" and string rule detector
- Forecast or prescribed wind and tides can be applied to judge the points of sail a given course will present
- Finalized courses and mark descriptions can be copied and pasted directly into Sailing Instructions
- Competitors and spectators can access course displays or download csv, excel, or GFX (Expedition) files
- Race Officers can use real-time forecasts and boats' polars to judge which courses will be most suitable for their needs
- Weather and polar information provides forecast time on course, which can convert to a handicap system
These are provided in a rich visual interactive interface. It's most suitable for a tablet or computer screen.
